Problem Statement
Tax professionals and organizations struggled to track pending, delayed, and upcoming filings across multiple return types and reporting periods. Existing systems lacked clear visibility, prioritization, and actionable insights, making it difficult to identify bottlenecks and ensure timely compliance. Users had to manually scan data tables and reports, leading to missed deadlines, inefficiencies, and high cognitive load.
Proposed Solution
I designed a data-driven dashboard that provides a centralized view of filing statuses with clear categorization (pending, delayed, upcoming). Introduced visual analytics (charts + trends) to help users quickly identify bottlenecks and patterns. Built a prioritized data table with key metadata (return codes, periods, deadlines) for actionable tracking. Focused on information hierarchy and color-coded states to enable quick scanning and faster decision-making.
