Problem Statement
Freelancers and small business owners were managing invoices, expenses, and financial tracking across fragmented tools, leading to time-consuming workflows, poor visibility, and frequent manual errors. Creating invoices, logging expenses, and tracking payments required multiple steps and context switching, making day-to-day financial operations inefficient and hard to scale.
Proposed Solution
I designed an AI-driven mobile invoicing system that consolidates financial workflows into a single, action-oriented experience. Introduced AI Quick Actions (smart invoice, auto-estimate, receipt scan) to eliminate repetitive tasks. Built a real-time financial dashboard for instant visibility into revenue, expenses, and projections. Used a card-based, minimal UI to reduce cognitive load and enable faster decision-making on the go.
My Learnings
AI is only valuable when it’s reliable. In financial workflows, predictability matters more than novelty.
Efficiency is the real product differentiator. Reducing steps had more impact than adding new features.
Trust is built through clarity. Clear feedback and structured data presentation are essential in AI-driven systems.
Automation should augment, not replace control. Allowing users to verify and edit outputs improves confidence.
Small UX decisions have high stakes in finance. Even minor inconsistencies can break user trust.
